Hugo-Brent Freimann (11) keskendus tänavu esimest aastat suuremale, Supersport 300 klassile, kuid ta suutis hoolimata avaetapi tõsisest kukkumisest kohe Eesti meistritiitli kindlustada.

Millised olid su plaanid enne hooaja algust ning kas neid tuli pandeemia tõttu palju muuta?
Oli plaan tulla Eesti ja Balti meistriks aga esimeses sõidus kukkusin pahasti ja tänu sellele jäi Balti meistri karikas kättesaamatuks. (Pandeemia ei seganud minu tegemisi, sest nagunii pidi olema uue rattaga harjumise aasta.)
Milline oli su selle aasta parim võidusõit? Kõige keerulisem?
Suvel Soomes Alastaros peale esimese etapi kukkumist. Soomes on kaks väga kiiret poissi ja ei olnud kindel, kas suudan neile konkurentsi pakkuda. Aga suutsin😊! Esimesel päeval olin võidusõidus kolmas ja suutsin püstitada ka üheks päevaks rajarekordi🤣.
Teisel päeval taas kolmas koht, aga olin võidusõidu ajal paar korda ka esimesel positsioonil.
Mida arvad Pärnu ringrajast?
Ülivägev, kuid kahjuks ainuke kiire rada Eestis. Aga kui pean võrdlema naabermaade radadega, siis meie oma on tasemel😉.
Räägi veidi oma taustast — kui kaua sa oled võidu sõitnud ja millised on seni olnud sinu tipphetked?
Alustasin 2016. a kevadel seitsmeaastaselt Marko Rohtlaane käe all pocket bike’iga ja kaheksaselt oli minu rattaks juba Honda NSF 100, millega ma tundsin kohe, et ringrada on minu ala. Võidu hakkasin sõitma alates 2017. a. Hondaga olen olnud nii Balti kui ka Eesti meister, kõige paremaks saavutuseks on 2019. a Soome meistritiitel MiniGP-s.
Hobikorras sõidan ka krossi, supermotot ja jäärada.
Mis sulle võidusõidu juures kõige enam meeldib?
Kiirus. Võistlus. Enese proovile panek. Adrenaliin. Teadmatus, kas kõik õnnestub… kas tehnika toimib lõpuni ja kuidas? Ja loomulikult lõpptulemus, kui pääsed poodiumile😁.
Millised on plaanid järgmiseks hooajaks?
Annan KUUMA seal, kus võimalik, sest olen järgmisel aastal alles 12 ja vanusepiirangud on ees.

Hugo-Brent Freimann (11) focused on the larger Supersport 300 class for the first season this year, but despite the serious crash of the opening round, he was able to secure the Estonian Championship title.

What were your plans before the beginning of the season and did you have to change
them much because of the pandemic?
I was hoping to become the Estonian and Baltic Champion, but I had a bad crash in the first round and due to that, the Baltic Champion title remained inaccessible. (The pandemic didn’t bother me, because it was supposed to be a year of getting used to the new bike anyway.)
What was the best race for you this year? The most difficult?
In summer in Alastaro, Finland after the crash of the first round. There are two very fast boys in Finland, and I wasn’t sure if I could compete with them. But I could 😊! On the first day, I was third in the race and was able to set a track record for one day 🤣.
On the second day, I was again in third place, but I was also in P1 a few times during the race.
How do you like the track in Pärnu?
Great, but unfortunately the only fast track in Estonia. But if I have to compare with the tracks of neighboring countries, then ours is at another level 😉.
Tell us a little about your background — how long have you been racing and what
have been the highlights thus far?
In the spring of 2016, I started on a pocket bike with Marko Rohtlaan at the age of seven, and at the age of eight, my bike was already a Honda NSF 100, with which I immediately felt that circuit racing was my thing. I started racing in 2017. I have been both Baltic and Estonian Champion with Honda, the best achievement is the 2019 Finnish Championship title in MiniGP.
I also ride motocross, supermoto, and ice circuit as a hobby.
What do you enjoy most about racing?
Speed. Competition. Putting yourself to the test. Adrenaline. Not sure if everything will work out… will the bike last till the end and how? And, of course, the end results when you manage to get to the podium 😁.
What are your plans for the next season?
I give it ALL wherever possible because I’m only 12 next year and age restrictions are ahead.
